Jay C.P. Damen

With more than 30 years of experience as a family lawyer, Jay aims to map out the most expeditious path to help his clients resolve family challenges.

​

Admitted to the Alberta Bar in 1992, Jay has dedicated his entire legal career to family law, representing clients at all levels of court. His practice covers all areas of family law, with a particular emphasis on representing children in family law and child welfare matters.

​

Since 1998, Jay has developed extensive expertise in advocating for children's interests, furthering his knowledge through specialized training on interviewing and representing children in complex legal matters.

​

Jay is known for his attentive and compassionate client service. His diverse background in law enforcement, private security, job-site safety, and hotel and restaurant management provides him with a unique perspective on conflict resolution and client needs.

​

Outside of his professional commitments, Jay takes great pride in being a father to three daughters and is passionate about physical activities, including motorcycling and camping.
